This grid enumerates the trinities. I added the formulas and columns to their right. This is a good way to ponder the way the formulas map to the creative support of trines implied in the astrological correspondences. |

THE TRINES
The four elemental trinities generate an elemental energy from leading cardinal sign and distribute its influence by the actions of the fixed an mutable sign. Thus only the first column where the cardinal signs are listed produces the essential energy while subsequent colums use that element as a key component of their formula. In the case of the male elements -Fire and -Air the triplicities element will be 'on top' of any division, while in the case of the female elements -Water and -Earth the element will be 'below' wherever there is a division as if to provide a template for the yin and yang sayings of "Mo' Beta" and "Less is more". |

Each of the trinities can be seen as 'the home' for any number of the world's religions. While I have some ideas as to how these attributions might go,
I don't know enough yet to make a comprehensive list. For now, perhaps this table is helpful to summarize the quarters:
The absence of Mars's activity from the 'concrete planes' of Man's life might be seen as a reinforcement of the notion that "its good to drop the macho stuff to live in the world" ... the macho-overidentification with the divine spark may be fun and exciting, but as the formula's attest, nothing much comes from concrete force of any kind. -- this is not to say that the martian principle is not awesomly important, it just has a somewhat abstract role to play when it comes to the concrete. the amount of psychobabble you can elimate by working with first principles boggles the ming. |
